O.k. weird title but yes my life is a box of chocolates. Leave them in the car and they melt and are not appetizing anymore. Eat them one by one savoring every bite is the way I prefer to eat a box of chocolates. Eat them all at once and you get a tummy ache. Apply "Chocolate" to my life and you get "savor every little moment I have with my husband and kids". Yes! I love my family. They are the light of my life. I prayed hard to God for each and everyone of them. They were not accidents they were very intensely thought about and desired. Every single one of them has brought more joy and happiness in my life than I thought ever possible.
Yes, I complain, cry and sometimes want to pull my own hair out one-by-one in hopes of some relief from the total craziness, but all in all the times that are good, great, or excellent out shine the bad.
I'm sure most of you all will agree with me on some level that life is mainly a box of chocolates. SAVOR each moment with each kid. Don't cram "life" all into one moment. Spread the fun out and see the kiddies learn, grow, and have fun.
I am learning to slow down and just SAVOR each moment and I challenge all of my friends to do the same.

Jessica 1st pair of Glasses.
Doesn't she look so dang cute? I think so. I feel really bad that she has not been able to see things correctly all these years. Oh well I am on top of her condition now. Jessica will be having eye surgery July 15, 2009 to try an correct her right eye from turning outward. Even though she is almost legally blind in that eye at least her pupil will be straight when she is looking at you. Jessica is doing well and really enjoys wearing the glasses. I did not think that she would want to wear them but she is careful with them and realizes what she can now see with them is much better than without.
Jessica I am so proud of you!

50's Musical Performances at RP
My babies are growing up so fast. They learned two songs with actions and performed them in front of lots of parents and siblings. I am so happy with this school and what they are teaching my children. Music is an essential part of education that is being left out of many schools curriculum due to budget cuts. This is not the case with their school. I have no regrets putting my kids in this school. Awesome.
Hey girls I love you! You have learned so much this year.

Selling Cookies!
Selling girl scout cookies was a blast. Cookie sales happened about two months ago and I am finally getting around to posting the pictures. Girl scouts has been fun for the girls. At first I was not really into scouting because I was never a girl scout and now I can see how much they are learning. Jasmine, Jessica, and Natalie were not afraid to ask complete strangers if they wanted to buy cookies. Several people purchased cookies just because they looked so cute. Who could resist these girls faces. At the last minute the Army guys walked by and they purchased a whole case of cookies from the girls. They were so cool to let us take a picture of the girls with them. Looking forward to many more events with the girl scouts.

Way to BUSY!
I can't believe that it has been over a month sense I last posted. I have been way to busy to even think about writing my thoughts down. You might be asking what has the wheelers been up to well spring break was such a crazy mess and lasted way to long for me. We took a 3 day trip to Disneyland with the kiddos and basically had a blast until I got sick on the second day in Toon Town. Then I spent a week at my parents house in SLC. My parents 50th Wedding Anniversary was April 10th and we celebrated at a really fancy restaurant called Ruth's Chris Stake House in Park City, UT. Would highly recommend trying this place at least once for a special occasion. I worn you it is very expensive! Anyway, we had lots of fun in Utah! I then was busy studying and writing my final essays for my classes. I am so glad that in 2 years I will be finished with my BA in Elementary Education. It has been my long life dream to be a teacher. So now you know what has been going on in the life of the wheelers. I will post pictures later!

Spring has Come!

Welcome Spring!
Spring is probably my most favorite season of the year next to fall. I love how the flowers start blooming in my yard and the cherry trees or fruitless mulberry trees are so beautiful this time of year. Spring is a time of newness, a time to reflect on the spirit and purpose of life, a time to wear bright colors, and a time to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ! It is also a time to start your spring cleaning! We all have to do it. So start planting your gardens and painting your fences for the summer is not to far away.

Children in the Night!
Have any of you wondered just exactly your children do while you are SLEEPING? Well last night we found out. It was close to midnight and I thought the kiddo's were in bed, but I was wrong! While studying in our office I heard this weird sound that kind of sounded like someone was trying to start their car so I ignored it! About 10 minutes of this strange sound going of and on Jasmine started screaming for her Dad! Steve went to investigate to find Evan on the top bunk playing with Jasmine's radio and the sound I heard was static from a the clock radio being turned on and off. Poor Jasmine was so scared and groggy that she thought that Evan was a ghost. Anyway, when Steve went to take Evan to bed he noticed that Evan had colored with marker all over his face, in his mouth, and all over his hands. We asked him where the markers were and he said, in a very innocent voice, "On Jasmines bed" Thanks for letting us know sweetie! We put him to bed and shut his door again. At 4:30 a.m. we were woke to the sound of someone trying to get into our room. I could tell it was Evan and neither Steve and I wanted to get up, but when I heard his little patter of feet run back towards the kids rooms I was sure he was going to wake the girls. Then he started to holler for Ariel to wake up! Steve dashed out of bed to save the day! Evan had an active night but took a three hour nap this afternoon.

Energy!

Some days I feel like I just need more energy. I never have enough time in the day to achieve everything on my list. Does anyone else feel this way? Keeping up with my kids, school, bills, cleaning, church callings, and anything else that seems to occupy minutes of the day is getting harder. Last year this time I had my tax refund. This year I have only started gather the tax files so that I can do my taxes. I will be getting a refund but only if I get around to doing the taxes. So now that you all know that I am stressed and need a quick caffeine fix so that I can stay up and write a report that is due Thursday. Thank heavens for DIET COKE!

Jasmine makes Honor Role in Kindergarten!
She made Honor Role!
I am going to take a minute to brag about my daughter Jasmine. She is such a loving, smart, and fun girl. I am so proud to know that she worked hard in class and ended up meeting the schools requirements to be on the Honor Role. I think we are off to a good start with this girl. Honor Role in Kindergarten, I wonder what will be next for her. Keep up the good work! I am so proud to be your mother.

Proof that God Loves Us!

I have proof that God loves each and everyone of his children. He has proven this by giving us the ability to be parents to children by other means. God has also provided proof that he loves us by providing a way for families to be eternal. I take great comfort in knowing that the Lord has provided a way for us to become eternal families. The blessings God gives us if we remain faithful, obey his commandments, and serve one another are far greater than any other temporal thing on this earth.
I am so thankful to everyone of my family and friends who have inspired me to be a better person. Being a worthy member of God's true church is not easy. Striving to be a good example to my children is sometimes harder than I thought it would be. I could not have done it without my family, friends, and husband.
Ponder in your minds this day what eternal families means to you. What can you do today to ensure that your family is an eternal family or stays an eternal family? I encourage you all to search for your own proof that God loves you.
I have proof that God loves each and everyone of his children. He has proven this by giving us the ability to be parents to children by other means other than giving birth to one.
